Public Journal 2 : 12-23-2022

A lot of things have happened in the past year, and I failed to document a lot of it. Now the holidays are coming around and there is a lot to think about and reflect on.

I am starting this holiday season feeling pretty sick and really wishing I had been better about how I spent my time before Winter Break started; basically meaning I wish I had kept my distance from everyone who got Influenza A or any other sickness. Sadly, some of that was hard to get out of with a lot of those people being my roommates or group project members or other classmates. Not one person wanted to miss classes right before finals nor did they want to slack on group projects, which I understand.

Tomorrow is Christmas Eve, and my family tends to have a large role in the celebrations that take place at our church. Unfortunately for us, we're all a bit sick which means my mother probably wont sing "O Holy Night" during the Christmas Eve services. It also means that Christmas Eve celebrations with family will be cut short unless some sort of Christmas miracle happens.

As far as reflecting, this past year has had a lot of ups and downs. I had a lot of wonderful experiences with some amazing people this year. One being going to the NCAA Basketball games that our college team made as a member of the pep band. I travelled with my friend Ashley (shown above) and we spent a lot of time brainstorming for my blog and her business on that trip and we continue to do so today. We have a lot of free time together next semester so you can expect there will be a lot of work going on...

The biggest thing that I think I need to work on for this coming year is Time Management. There are a lot of things I could have potentially prevented if my time management had been a bit better. Definitely included my school grades and I think a very obvious one is my level of activity here on my blog.

That is something I would like to improve on in this coming year. I have configured my school schedule in such a way that I can be more flexible with blog work on top of my classes in the spring. There is a lot to look forward to in the new year. But those things are also going to lead to more challenges and personal discoveries about my own limits and what kind of load I can handle.

Here are somethings I think you all will be excited for:

  • Disney Wish Cruise : January
  • Disney World : January (following the cruise)
  • Back to school : mid-January
  • ISU Basketball and more band craziness : January-March
  • and much more...

I am really looking forward to sharing these adventures with you all and getting back into the swing of things here on the blog. As always, feel free to leave a comment if you have anything you are looking forward to or anything. you'd like me to touch on in the coming week. I hope you have a wonderful holiday with friends and family.

See you all next week! 🙂
